Like First Eucharist, this is a family-centered process, highlighting the fact that parents are the most effective catechists for a child.You will receive a preparation booklet "We Celebrate Reconciliation", that your child will be working on at home with your guidance and support. Participation in the 4th grade of our Faith Formation Program or the Family Program, or Family Faith Communities is required.

The preparation process is from September or October till February or March, and includes the following:

• An initial family interview, during the summer or fall
• A fall gathering
• A final interview with your child (one parent must be present) upon completion of the process (usually in January)
• The celebration of Reconciliation in February or March
