In our parish community, we sing our faith. We have just completed a new parish CD - Songs of Faith! You will experience some of these inspirational songs at our concert. The CD will be available for $20 at the concert or pre-order online at CCOP Music Ministry website for $15.

The Festival of Light
Tuesday, December 8, 1:00- 3:00 p.m. Christ the Light Cathedral
Join in the Christmas tree lighting festivities starting after the 12:10 p.m. Mass. The Pieta will be blessed at the 12:10 p.m. Mass.

Filipino Pre-Christmas Mass
All are invited to the Misa de Gallo or Simbang Gabi on Monday, December 7, 7:00 p.m., St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Following the Mass, partake in traditional Filipino food and meet members of the Community. For information, contact Remy Carpizo at (925) 846-8679 or JoJo Antonio at (925) 999-9533.

Project Homeless Connect (PHC)
"At each Project Homeless Connect event, more than 1,000 individuals from every sector of the Bay Area work together to provide efficient and compassionate service to those in need. Volunteers lead and manage most service areas from calling on personal and business resources, to developing collaborative relationships between agencies, and to setting up chairs and tables. The common goal is to provide relevant and easily accessible onsite services for clients while creating a valuable experience for all volunteers.  Members of CCOP meet at SES and take BART in to SF to join the effort.

Advent Family Movie Night
Saturday, December 12, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. St Augustine Hall.  Sing carols, eat cookies, and watch "The Little Drummer Boy" movie. Bring your low chairs, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, and a plate of cookies to share.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Special Mass
Saturday, December 12, 10:00 a.m., St. Augustine Church. The history and meaning of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother in the year 1531 will be discussed. Coffee and pastries after Mass in the vestibule. All are invited.

Manger or Mall, Presents or Presence - Marriage Care Advent Reflection
Monday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. St. Elizabeth Seton. Engaged, newly, and not-so-newly married couples are invited to an evening of relationship reflection and preparation during the 2009 Advent Season. Toys for Children of Inmates
Saturday, December 12, to Friday, December 18. Both churches. The Catholic Detention Ministry is collecting toys for children ages 0-12 years old of Santa Rita Jail inmates. Toys must be new, unwrapped, and deposited in the bins in the vestibules of both churches. For information, contact Richard Denoix at (925) 367-5833.

St. Vincent De Paul Annual Christmas Food Basket Drive
Sunday, December 20, through 11:00 a.m. Non-perishable food dropped off in the food bins of both churches.

Saturday, January 9, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. St. Elizabeth Seton Church

Knights of Columbus Crab Feed
Saturday, January 16, 2010 St. Augustine Hall. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Save the date! Details to follow.


2010 Women's Retreat
January 29-31, San Damiano, Danville. Led by Father Mark Wiesner.
