Don't miss 1st
Wednesday Street Party in July
Come visit and bring your friends to our CCOP booth at the 1st
Wednesday Street Party from 6-9 p.m. on July 1. Downtown Pleasanton
will be lively. The booth can be seen from quite a distance with
its big white letters on an eye-catching blue canopy. Our booth is
in a great location on Main
Street across from the little gas
station.
The volunteers greet people stopping by, including CCOP folks,
casual visitors, and those interested in learning more about the
Catholic Church and Faith.
This month Joe Hebert and the adult and children choirs will bless
downtown with music. Teens and high-schoolers will do colorful,
free face painting for children.
For visitors who have questions about the Church, there will be a
clergy member, along with people from the Bereavement ministry and
Faith Formation. Anyone from CCOP is invited to help at the booth,
greet visitors and answer questions. Just show up and you
will be more than welcome. It provides a great sense of community.

Summertime
reminders
As you prepare to plan for your vacation, please remember your
ministry of stewardship. Your weekly stewardship of treasure is
very important as we continue to pay our weekly bills in these
economic times.
Please also ensure that you find a substitute for your ministry
responsibilities. We want our visitors to experience our community
as a "ministering community and a community of
ministers."

Electronic giving
Traditional giving
All registered members will continue to receive envelopes,
including envelopes for special collections for a variety of needs.
Collections will be taken each week as usual. If you do not currently
use envelopes, please consider participating in either our envelope
program or the electronic giving program. Our church needs your
consistent support.
A new way to give
Our church has embraced a giving option that may be more convenient
for many of our members - electronic giving. This giving
option works in the same manner as mortgages, loan payments, or
insurance premiums that are automatically withdrawn from your
checking or savings account. To sign up for this giving option and
have your donations transferred electronically to the church
account on a regular basis, please fill out an authorization form
and return it to the church office. You choose the donation
frequency (weekly or monthly) and the donation amount for each fund
you wish to support.
Important benefits of electronic giving
Electronic giving makes life easier for you and yields significant
benefits for our church.
Benefits for you:
- The satisfaction
of giving to God first
- Easier to fulfill
stewardship commitments
- Strengthens
participation and support in the church
- Allows you to
contribute even when you are away
- Easier personal
budgeting - more secure than bringing cash or checks to church
Benefits for our Church:
- Cultivates
consistent giving
- More predictable cash
flow for better planning
- Less work for
office staff and volunteers
- Secure and easy
cash maintenance
Contributions made easy
Save time, simplify your life, and support our parish. We are
keeping up with the times by offering our parishioners a new way to
help our ministry. Our new electronic giving program is an
automated program that will allow you to make contributions without
having to lift a pen to write a check or reach into your wallet for
cash.
How it works
You authorize a specified amount of money to be electronically
transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the
parish account. You also specify the frequency of the transfer.
It is fast, safe, and easy. In fact, it is less risky than checks,
as it cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed, and the rate of
accuracy is high. The electronic transfer will cost you NOTHING and
you save the cost of the check. The parish will issue you a
donation statement for your tax records, and your bank statements
will provide you with a record of transfer as additional proof of
your contributions. Donations via electronic transfer can be made
to our general fund or our building fund.
You can cancel your authorization of transfer at any time by
notifying us in writing. But we believe that once you have enjoyed
the convenience and savings of this new program, you won't want to
go back to the "old-fashioned" way of contributing to
your church.
If you would like more information or would like an authorization
form, call Bob Robichaud at (925) 989-3691 or email him at:
