After more than two decades as pastor, Fr. Danielson retired and Fr. Padraig Greene was appointed CCOP’s Parochial Administrator in December 2007, a welcome return to a parish where he had previously served as an associate. Now serving over 5,400 families with more than 1,300 young people in faith formation, the parish has grown in size as well as in ethnic diversity, requiring the creation of new and different ministries. Since its dedication, the Pope John Paul II Activity Center gym/hall has been a wonderful addition to our parish. CYO basketball, youth ministry activities, parish social events, ministry meetings, and community events occupy the Center throughout the year.

As Pleasanton has grown – from a small farming region to its current suburban landscape – the Catholic Community of Pleasanton has found, and will continue to find, new ways to support the work of God through faithful service to one another, and continuing to build community together.
