We are happy to welcome Marty Leach and John Archer for their pastoral
assignments before their Diaconate Ordination in November.
Marty Leach is a member of Transfiguration Parish in Castro Valley where
he is a lector and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. He has been
on the RCIA team for several years and has been the director since 2002.
He has also been a member of the Liturgy Committee. Before moving to Transfiguration,
Marty was a member of St. Michael in Livermore where he was the coordinator
of a Small Christian Community, and was on the Youth Ministry team and
RCIA team.
Marty and his wife Karen live in Castro Valley. Their favorite activity
when not involved in Church ministry is visiting their six grandchildren
who live in various parts of Northern California.
John Archer is a member of St Raymond Parish in Dublin where he is a lector
and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. John is a founding member
of the Katrina Outreach ministry and the Social Justice Committee. During
many years he also served as a school board member, school finance chair
and CYO coach and administrator.
John and his wife Judy have four children and live in Pleasanton. Their
daughters are Tern, a teacher in Brooklyn, New York, and Patti and Erin,
college students. His son John is a senior at St. Joseph High School in
Alameda. |
