2008 Bishop's Appeal
Your stewardship or gift offers us the opportunity to open our
hands and hearts to our neighbors. In doing so, we can build faith
communities through ministry education and training, offer hope
and encouragement to our sick and the elderly, provide support
for our priests, both active and retired and those in preparation,
and create an environment for our children where they will learn
fundamental life values and receive quality education.
Other areas of support from the Bishop’s Annual Appeal are
CYO and Youth Programs, Family Support and Respect for Life, Lay
Ministry, and Vocations.
Our contribution to the Bishop’s Appeal is a great way to
build up the Kingdom of God in the diocese of Oakland. Once a
year, our Bishop calls on us to support the work of the diocese,
which serves 85 parishes, 57 schools, and various ministries.
Your
gift will truly make a difference. No one person, parish or organization
alone can do the work that all of us can do together.You
