What Is A Funeral Mass Coordinator Funeral Mass Coordinators play the crucial role of completing all preparations before the funeral Mass, such as lighting candles and assembling the altar linens, so that the parish can have a beautiful, solemn liturgy. Funeral Mass Coordinators arrive 60 minutes before Funerals to manage preparations, coordinate with the family of the deceased and the funeral home. Performing this role well serves grieving families in their time of need. All coordinators will receive training.
Qualifications To Be A Funeral Mass Coordinator Qualifications necessary to be a good Funeral Mass Coordinator include: A practicing adult Catholic who has received Confirmation and is able to show responsibility, knowledge and dedication to the liturgy; commitment to fostering volunteer participation within all groups and Masses; ability and willingness to commit the time needed before and after a funeral Mass; attention to detail; excellent communication skills.
