Children of God (Cog) Youth Group



​​Sacrament Preparation is a two-year program. After completing one year of Faith Formation class (Year 1 Sacrament Student) they may register for the Year 2 Sacrament Module to complete their Sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and Eucharist (Communion).

All are welcome! This program is still part of the Elementary Program, however, in recognition of their age and maturity, gatherings will be held in a youth group format to promote community building and having fun, while learning about our Catholic Faith.  
Grades 4 and 5 will attend the Children of God Youth Group
Tuesday afternoons from 3:45–5:00 PM

Calendar
  • Using games, crafts and lessons, the program will focus on our Faith traditions and practices. 
  • A variety of resources (St. Mary’s Press, Loyola Press) will allow our youngsters to learn independently, but also encourage participation as a community.
  • Lessons will be framed around the Liturgical seasons of the Church. 
  • We’ll explore the stories from, and about, Jesus and how they relate to the youth today. 
  • By partnering with volunteer catechists and parents/family members, youngsters will be challenged to experience God’s love and grace outside of the class setting.
