SPRED (Special Religious Education) reaches out to adults with special needs and integrates them into the parish family. SPRED assists individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy and downs syndrome, so they may grow spiritually among friends, receive ongoing faith formation and sacramental preparation. SPRED facilitates their full participation the sacramental, liturgical and community life of the Church.
CCOP has two SPRED groups which meet every other week from September through May. Volunteer catechists play a vital role in these meetings and the SPRED process. To learn more about this rewarding ministry, please e-mail Claudia Willis.
