The Knights of Columbus was founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in 1882. Our Mission: We are Catholic men building a bridge back to faith. There is much good and necessary work to be done in this world, and that's what Knights do every day. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. When you join the Knights of Columbus, you join 1.9 million men around the world who stand up for our Catholic faith in the public sphere. We are Catholic men who lead, serve, protect and defend. We share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors and role models and to put charity and community first.
In 2018, CCOP’s Knights of Columbus council # 6043 (the Michael J. Costello Council) celebrated 50 years of service to our Pastor, Priests, Parish, and Community. We have a proud tradition of meeting the needs of both small and large to in our parish and are always inviting those who seek greater participation and want to answer the call to serve. Our council meets at St Augustine’s Parish Hall, located at 3999 Bernal Ave., in rooms 4-5 on the second Thursday of each month. Please visit the Pleasanton Knights website to learn more about our council: www.kofc6043.org. |
