EASTER EGG HUNT!
Our MOMS (Ministry of Mother's Sharing) is hosting their second annual Easter Egg Hunt! They are requesting your help to make the event successful and fun. They need help setting up, decorating, hiding eggs and clean up! SIGN UP HERE FAIR TRADE CHOCOLATE EASTER EGG SALE The weekend of March 16/17 our Social Justice Committee will be holding their chocolate sales after each Mass! Earn 1 hour for each shift you sign up for! People who choose to buy chocolate with the Fairtrade logo are helping to provide fair wages and working conditions for those in the cocoa industry. SIGN UP HERE KIDS AGAINST HUNGER PACKING EVENT On March 23 from 10-11:30a.m. CCOP will be heading over to pack meals! SIGN UP HERE EASTER FOOD BASKET FOOD SORTING Come and help sort food to prepare for the food basket packing! We are looking for volunteers on March 22 to come from 4:00-7:00p.m. SIGN UP HERE EASTER FOOD BASKET PACKING Volunteers are needed on Saturday, March 23, at 8:00 AM, in the St. Augustine Hall to help pack the Easter baskets. This is a fun, family friendly packing event. Thank you for your help and generosity. No need to sign up in advance, just show up! HELP SET UP/CLEAN UP FOR CLASSES Come and help prepare the classrooms and meeting spaces for Confirmation classes! On Sunday, the prep time will end before the 6:00p.m. Mass so you will have time to worship with us! SIGN UP HERE FERTILE GROUNDWORKS At Fertile groundworks, their mission is to teach and empower people and communities to increase their health, wellbeing, and self-reliance by growing food for themselves and others, organically and sustainably. Produce from our garden is given to local food pantries and partnering organizations across our area to feed the needy. Fertile Groundworks also champions locally grown food and facilitates the creation and sustainable operation of community, school and employee gardens. CCOP will be helping in the garden in the next few months. Teens are welcome and parents too! Service opportunitiesWEEKLY LENTEN CHALLENGE!
For each week of Lent, you can earn 1 service hour by completing some challenges! This is a fun way to learn about Catholic Relief Services, do some service work, and have some fun! You can participate as much, or as little as you can. SIGN UP HERE WEDNESDAY EVENING SERVICE WORK Come and join us for an evening of service work in the Hall at St. Augustine. We will be offering various opportunities, join us for some or join us for all! On February 21 come and make some cards starting at 7:30p.m. We will distribute them to local nursing homes and ministries here at CCOP! Even if you're not crafty or artistic, you can still come! We will have some templates available for you to use. On February 28 we will sort through office supplies, and organize, just in time for spring! You can join us for however long you'd like. SIGN UP HERE HELP OUR ELEMENTARY FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM Come and spend an hour helping with various tasks for our elementary faith formation classes! Sign up for as many slots as you would like and earn 1 hour for each! SIGN UP HERE TEEN CHOIR Are you interested in trying the teen choir, but not quite ready to commit to it for the year? Try it out and earn 1 service hour each week that you participate! Arrive by 5:15p.m. to learn the songs. We meet at St. Augustine Church. No need to sign up, you can just show up! TEEN CHOIR Ready to commit to choir for the year, where you will sing at the 6pm Youth Mass, and at the Christmas Concert! You will learn great songs, have fun, and worship God at the same time. This opportunity is open to ALL high school students. If you sing regularly in the teen choir at the 6pm Youth Mass you will fulfill all your service hours for the year, along with helping at Mass requirements and 1 social! In the past few months, teens have earned hours for collecting hoodies for farm workers, collecting stuffed animals for CALICO and making protein snack bags for frontline workers!
