HOMELESS – A Local Solidarity Initiative

Our faith calls us to look outside ourselves and focus on our brothers and sisters in need. The Social Justice Committee invites all members of our Parish to participate in the annual Lenten collection serving the needs of the homeless in our neighborhoods in partnership with Livermore Homeless Refuge and St. Mary’s Stockton.

What to Donate
  • $5 Gift cards (no other denominations please) for fast food (e.g., McDonald’s, Jack-in the-Box, Starbucks, etc.), the 99 Cent Store, and Grocery Outlet.
  • Gift cards in any denomination from Walmart or Amazon.

How to Donate
  • Gift cards can be dropped off through the mail slot at the St. Augustine’s rectory office.
  • You can also place them in designated collection baskets at St. Augustine when you sign in for in-person mass or at the Walk Thru Communion at St. Elizabeth Seton as you exit.

​When to Donate
Beginning the first Sunday of Lent each year. 

Thank you for your generosity! This small act of kindness is so essential for the daily livelihood of the homeless and they are so very grateful for your support.
